Red Lobster

This business card design is a great example of what you can get even if you work at a business that normally doesn't require a business card design. If you work at the Red Lobster, it's invaluable to have some kind of business card design to network, and this is a great option.

Servers can benefit from the use of a business card. You never know we are going to run into in a restaurant, and it's great to have a networking tool on you all times to hand out to anyone you meet. Believe it or not, as of May 2005, there were more than 2.2 million people employed as waiters and waitresses in the United States, as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In fact, this position is so common that there is even a set of rules that have been written for it, written by Wilford Gowers-Round:

* A waiter's job is to serve and never to impose himself.
* The goal of waiting is inconspicuous service.
* Waiters must be clean and smart and should never wear cologne.
* Under no circumstances should a waiter ever touch a diner.
* Wine glasses should never be filled too full.
* Unasked advice should never be offered.
* If diners are content to pour the wine themselves, let them.
* Unless asked, no plates should be removed until all have finished.
* Women diners should be afforded respect equal to men.
* The bill should be placed on the table without ceremony.

As you can see, there's more to being a restaurant server than meets the eye. They have to please every single person they meet, and go with a smile as well. It's a very hard job, involving customer service, as well as sales. Don't forget to bring a business card design every time you worked, as it's a great networking tool.
