Care for Flowers
Generally cut flowers are not as sensitive as roses. A more casual time can be taken when changing water or rearranging the flowers in a vase or
container. Always clean-cut 1 inch or so from the bottom of the stems with a razor sharp knife at a 45-degree angle so the decaying or clogged tissue
at the bottom of the stems is removed. This allows the flowers to drink freely. Remember to put them into the water (water & preservative) ASAP.
If flower food is not available to make hydrating solution; an emergency substitute is 7up or Sprite at the rate of 6 oz to a gallon of water may be
used.
